Book Review for those participating in the Holiday card exchange:: Jana Novak's patterns have become very popular through the years. If you have worked with her designs, you know how delightful they are! At Caen OIDFA, I picked up "Jana's Christmas 2012", ISBN 87-90277-20-1, 60 pages, and think it timely to tell you about it in case you are considering making holiday bobbin lace star and angel ornaments. For each pattern there is a lace pricking, colored illustration, helpful diagrams, and text (in English, German, Danish, Czech).
This year's book has a larger tree-top angel and tree-top star, in addition to 4 smaller 3-D angels and 8 stars. One of the star patterns has been made into a napkin ring. The larger tree top star is a little over 9 inches in diameter, with 8 points. The smaller version of same is 3 1/2 inches in diameter. For those who prefer 6 points, there is one 3 inches in diameter. All very appealing.
