You don't necessarily have to use a continental pillow with continental
bobbins.
It may be easier on a flat pillow as they don't roll around so much. It
would also be easier to teach on a pillow you are familiar with.
But perhaps you feel that she would manage better if taught to hold the
bobbins rather than pick up and roll?

Think I have interested an acquaintance in lace making but she has MS and
said she would have trouble grasping bobbins.  Have some continental bobbins
I could try but need to think of making a pillow.
Have seem them resting on stands and in baskets - has anyone on the list
made one for themselves?
