Hi Peg Now I could say 'a horse's shoe' but you'd probably throw something over to the uk!! LOL
Basically it's a round cover cloth which is about 3/4 of a full circle. There's a 'hole' in the middle which makes the fabric look like a very fat horse shoe or curvy U shape. You can frequently get them lightly padded as well. Hope I've made myself clear, because I can see it in my mind ....
