I was in contact with Channer family members some years ago - not now though. Vera, a niece of Miss Channer, came to spend a day with me with her son and his partner. As you can imagine I was thrilled. We took them to the church as Desborough where Miss Channers father had been vicar in the late eighteen hundreds. We arranged for Vera's son to go up the tower and wind the church clock.
