Happy New Year, everyone! I like the idea of spiral binding when it comes to being able to open the book to work from it or to copy a pattern. I also see the problems with not being able to see what the book is. We use binding systems at work, so I'm somewhat familiar with them. You don't always need to use a clear plastic cover page. We use sheets that are a little heavier than card stock that wear very well. I've taken a few of my pattern books to OfficeMax. For a few dollars they'll punch and bind them either spiral or regular combs. So if the digital printer can't do spiral binding there's always an outside option. Peg on my lunch hour in Cleveland Ohio where it's a positively balmy 22F...as opposed to -6F at this time yesterday.
