So wonderful to see the beautiful gown and all the lace. I so need to find funds to get to see the dress! Somehow I think the shoes were missed on the big day - such a horrible shame as they have such detailed work on them.

The shoes at Nordstroms are way out of my price range, but its would be a great idea to do for a daughters wedding. I want to not only make lace - I want to use it! Lace is too pretty to be hidden away in a drawer. I want lace to be part of my life, not the part kept from anyone to see.

One thing I am so grateful for is the seeming resurgence in wearing lace, which seems to have been spurred on by the Duchess of Cambridge. Since the wedding it is not unusual to see lace in mainstream clothes. That and the trend of wearing a scarf. Love the ways we can use lace in our daily lives.

So, I have just come home from work after a long week of training, will spend some time tonight winding some more bobbins. Two days off and too cold to be out - anyone want to guess what I am going to be doing?

Shell, in cold frigid PA where it was -5 when she got home tonight. But, loves to be stuck in the house so she can spin cobweb yarn for lace shawls, work on bobbin lace, or do some more work on learning hardanger embroidery.
