Hi All, I have a Brother Quatro 6000D (Embroidery Machine) which has a pad connected to the machine, a built in program and a pen(also connected to the machine) so you can trace an outline and it is automatically placed in the machine's design program. The defining of line thickness, stitch density and colour are then determined.
If you have a friend with a newish embroidery machine (most brands would be able to do what mine can) they might do it for you. This a trace-and-colour process which is the domestic equivalent of digitizing. Works beautifully using childrens' colouring books, but does not do anything too complicated.
