I have popped two articles (thanks to john Cropper) on Arizona:

https://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/lace.html#webdocs

One is a pretty detailed review of East Devon Bobbins that i have sat upon for
long time.
The Lace Bobbins of East Devon, 22 pages

The other is just a brief stab at trying to identify decorators of East Devon
Bobbins (Failed!) I hope someone might be stimulated to do some work on this
difficult area of East Devon bobbins!
A Quick Analysis of Decorations upon 'Pale' Wood Bobbins,

Just as a PS. I have notice the huge prices that even moderately well
decorated East Devon bobbins are fetching.

I have reasonable collection of these bobbins, but I am always willing to
receive gifts of bobbin photos of well decorated East Devons, particularly
ships and “sort of” Line drawings of people and scenes of social
significance... but frankly... anything!

I do not have particular “rules” for pictures but if you think you have
something that might be of special interest I can offer a few guidelines that
might help me.

You will notice that I have a technique which flattens out “Cylindrical”
bobbins so we can see it all on a flat page. That is where your pics can
help.

I do ask that you give me permission to use the pics in articles i write and
please be assured I will not use any of your gifts for personal pecuniary
interests.
