Anyone who is in the area over the next few days might like to come to the Chicago Botanic Garden to see the Fine Art of Fiber which opens tomorrow (Thursday) night. Full details are at http://www.fineartoffiber.org/ The show and boutiques are the work of members of the North Suburban NeedleArts Guild, Illinois Quilters' Inc. and the Weavers Guild of the North Shore. There are only a few lacemakers who are members of these groups, so you will not see much lace in the show.

I was astounded today to discover that my lace mask had been chosen to be on the front cover of the book of this yearâs Women's Journeys in Fiber exhibit, which is part of the whole show.
