I checked my copy of "Practical Skills" as suggested by you an Tamara. You both referred to a Grand Venetian which is new to me. i was only aware of the plain Venetian cord.
I will make a sample of both cords, along with an edging with DMC Memory thread to see which will best suite my needs. Thanks for the help.
