Hi Olga,

A mammoth project and I admire you for it. However, do you think you are doing
enough of each project to learn the techniques of each type thoroughly or are
you trying out the techniques in order to specialize a little more later on?
You are obviously an accomplished lacemaker already. What is the usual type of
lace you make?

You must have a lot of time to be able to produce so much and do your
blog/Instagram comments. I will enjoy following your progress.

Joepie in East Sussex where it is a lovely sunny day.

Subject: [lace] Bobbin Lace 12 Months Challenge Project

Dear Arachnids,

I was silent reader of this community for quite a long time but I finally
decided to introduce myself and share my project.

My name is Olga and I am making lace for 7 years now. Initially I studied
Russian lacemaking and work on a bolster pillow. But lace world is much
bigger. There are so many inspiring works and techniques, various books and
workshops. The only limit is time you can devote to it. So I have decided
to put myself a challenge to motivate to use the books I have and to study
new lacemaking techniques. Every month I study one technique and make a
sample lace. I call this project #bobbinlace12monthschallenge.

The progress of making lace I document in Instagram on daily basis:
https://www.instagram.com/eolgerin

My plans, results and technique notes I document in the blog:
http://eolgerin.blogspot.nl/search/label/BobbinLace12monthsChallenge/

The project was started in January 2016. So far it goes on successfully and
I have learned following techniques:
Milanese
Flanders
Lepoglava
Austria
Slovenian and Idria

If you are interested in the project, you are welcome to join in Instagram
or Blogger.
I would very much appreciate your feedback!

Best regards,
Olga
