While looking thru a shoebox full of old stamps today, I ran across an interesting item. There was a packet containing several single, cancelled US stamps featuring Moina Michael (3 cents!) from 1948. A quick Google search revealed that, according to Wikipedia, MM was responsible for remembrance poppies.
