If you are vacationing in Maine this weekend and looking for something to do inside (it is raining cats and dogs today), you might enjoy the quilt show. The late Lori Howe (Lace Fairy) often entered quilts with lace embellishments. Cannot guarantee lace on quilts, but it is a nice place to study design and color theory. This is the largest craft group in Maine.
Show is July 26-28, 9 am to 5 pm, $10, at Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive, Augusta ME. Parking free. Usual American chain restaurants across the street.
