My stock answer to the question of how to learn lace is now "take an online beginner class from the Lace Museum." Karen Thompson teaches these. It is a small class, maybe only 5 people. There is a helper and a tech person on the zoom at the same time to help even the most timid with any technical questions. Even when you locate a group there may not be a teacher in that group.
