Yes, the Santina Levy book LACE is the best source for a complete history of lace and lacemaking. However, it is expensive , (if available). If you have access to any large Public Library, you might find it in the Reference Dept. Many libraries also have instruction books on lacemaking techniques, and many of these include short essays on the history of lace. In addition, put "lace" in the Google search barof your computer and you will find many websites with information.
