I too have been searching for this thread in the UK. The book is Modern
Bobbin Lace by Karen Marie Iversen. It has many pretty designs, using
coloured threads which I think would be easy to find or substitute, but the
worker for all the patterns is Lurex 7005, no further information given as
far as I can see. Although in English the book seems to originate from
Denmark.
Hoping for some help.
