It looks like some kind of stretcher frame for needlework. I happened to come across this during a discussion in another group. Lots of needles hold the fabric in place very securely, and it has been the best type of stretcher frame for needlework that they have found so far. It is especially used for punch-needle work. You never know where you'll find a lace pillow! Thursday I went with our son on his school field trip. The afternoon part was to a nature center, and they took us to an 1858 farm house. Inside, an old and neglected roller pillow. I put a couple of pictures of the poor neglected thing on my blog: http://lost-arts.blogspot.com/2007/05/textile-stuff-everywhere.html Lynn Carpenter in SW Michigan, USA alwen at i2k dot com http://lost-arts.blogspot.com/ - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No virus found in this incoming message.
