Tess's post reminded me, I saw a lace book in a used bookstore this weekend: "Bobbins of Belgium," by Charlotte Kellogg. For $ 150.00!
Well, I didn't buy it, even if it was a first edition, but I went looking online, and it looks like someone is selling "print on demand" copies of this book. (Charlotte Kellogg's name has turned into "Chalotie".) Meanwhile, it's available as a 4.1M .pdf download from Google books: http://books.google.com/books?id=CMJhVe5TUkwC The one I saw was a first edition from 1920.
