I use brass pins, and I have suffered the same way - with pins being difficult to remove after they have been in a straw pillow for any length of time. I now have a UFO on the straw pillow that has sat there ½ finished for about 5 years! That should be 'fun' removing the pins!!!!!!!! Some come out clean, but others don't. I don't know what the answer is - except to work faster, and don't leave lace partly finished on the pillow for so long!!!!!!!! :))

I have tried the Vinegar, Liquid Detergent & Water recipe, and it works beautifully.

Regards from Liz in Melbourne, Oz, where we have had heavy snow in the nearby hills, and it is the coldest winter for 10 years! (Good lacemaking weather - huddled over a heater!!!!!!! ) [EMAIL PROTECTED]
