In continuation of Janice Blair's description, a lace
maker friend and I attended the same festival
yesterday, Saturday. We found the festival to be
well-attended with a nice variety of classes, vendors,
and activities.
As the instructor of the beginning bobbin lace
workshop, I must say that it turned out to be one of
the better beginning workshops that I've taught. Each
and every student was motivated and successful. Among
my students, one came from as far as Texas and another
from northern Wisconsin. (the festival was located
perhaps an hour from Chicago.)
Truly it was a pleasant time.
