I am sure all Aussie Lacemakers will join me is offering our best wishes to
all the English Flood victims. We are seeing all the dreadful pictures on
the TV news. It must be heartbreaking.
There have been some bad floods to the east of Melbourne some weeks ago,
and those poor folks had the terrible bush fires go through the area in
December. Poor things can't win! Floods after 10 years of drought - the
farmers don't know what to expect next. The snow resorts up in the Great
Dividing Range are the only happy ones - they are having a great snow
season, due to this being the coldest winter for 10 years, and we have had
some rain at last - snow for them in the Mts.!
