This is such sad news.  Although I never met Mary McPeek, I learned (early on 
in my "lace years") that she was a major contributor to the advancement of the 
teaching of lace in the US.  We're all indebted to her, whether we knew her or 
not.

Our lacing world has lost a number of wonderful mentors this year.  We'll miss 
them all.
