Barbara Underwood now recommends the Finca 80 in preference to the others, and regardless of availability, for this scale of Beds - I think because of the extra fimrness Brenda notes. I'm still using for the current masterpiece the DMC 50 retors d'Alsace on my bobbins - a reel bought before DMC renamed it broder machine! However, that's just laziness and stinginess. The nearest would be Egyptian gassed 60, or Steff Francis Extra fine mercerised cotton. http://www.stef-francis.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 Brok 80/2 is a tiny bit finer, 60/2 a bit thicker.
