Françoise Monneret wrote books about the lace and
re designed models from old laces she found in attics and cellars.
her
husband makes those pillows and bobbins, and various carved boxes .

At the Oidfa congress in Groningen I bought a book about Queyras lace
written by Clair Le Goaziou. In this she describes the pillows,
bobbins and patterns from the different valleys and villages in
Queyras and direct environment. In this region a freehand lace is
made, so without a prikking. The book includes also a few patterns,
so you can try it yourselves.
I didn't read it until now, because it is written in French. I need
therefore a good and quiet moment to concentrate on reading it.

Happy lacing,
