Hello all, I'm Hispanic, currently living in Toronto, Canada, and participate both in this list, in Arachne and in a similar lace list geared for Spanish-speaking people. I would suggest the lady that wants to learn bobbin lace using Midlands and a cookie pillow, to get on the Spaish lace list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask for people in her area. A large number of its members is based in Spain, and several have experience with different styles of lace and bobbins. As to the translation of the Introduction, I haven't had a chance to see it, but that editorial also has The Torchon Workbook, and IMHO, that is a good beginner's book.
