Thank you to my Arachne friends who offered some sage advice re packing my pillows with UFO's for xcountry shipment from Denver to the Seattle Sauna :-) My pillows were wrapped, slipped into pantyhose, silica gel pacs tucked in a corner, then wrapped in the cling plastic (moving kind, not cooking kind), with corners left open for breathing, and gently and lovingly placed into the folds of king size quilts into microwave boxes (the special moving ones from our mover). I duly labelled with with their contents, fragile, arrows, name and the packers taped them up and added their own notations. they were top loaded and arrived in apparently undisturbed condition, and i don't think a thread even broke, for which i thank the Lace Gods.
I only wish i'd had the forethought to pack my spare bobbins and bobbin stand into those boxes too, as there was plenty of room, and it would have made finding them much easier (since they were in a couple of boxes marked MBR and were in with an assortment of miscellanae). I have yet to make my first meeting of the LPS, but and aiming for August, to meet and make some new friends. Again, thank you for all of your wonderful advice. It helped me out greatly. Cheers, Helen, Aussie in Seattle, formerly of Denver. - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected]. For help, write to [email protected]
