Dear Arachnes, I should like to inform you about the possibility of seeing lacemakers during the Hudson festivities in Manhattan. On Governors Island is a program "Pioneers of Change" curated by Droog Design from the Netherlands. In one of the house a group of Dutch fashion designers will be designing and making their work. They do use lace in their designs and there will be a lacemaker from New York working with them. Yesterday evening I borrowed one of the designers one of my pillows to take it to New York to make some lace on it when she feels like it. It is possible to have a look while they are working. So perhaps it is a good idea to do so. Unfortunately it is too fare for me.
