Hi all,

I hope this doesn't violate any policies of the list!

I just wanted to let you all know of an opportunity to display your beautiful
lace projects. TACtile Textile Arts Center, in Denver, CO is planning a show
entitled "Holes and Knots: A modern interpretation of lace". The Rocky Mountain
Lace Guild is working with TACtile to make this show a success. We are looking
for entries that were made by the person entering them - that is, not antique
lace, much as we love that too! The show is juried, and is expected to be
reviewed in the Denver Post, and possibly other publications as well. More
information can be found at www.tactilearts.org/Call_For_Entry.html

The show will run Feb 12 - Mar 20, with entry check-in Feb 7-8. TACtile has
generously offered to waive the entry fee for all RMLG members (see
www.rockymountainlaceguild.org for more information on joining) that are
entered on behalf of the guild (individual artists contracts and inventory
sheets will still be required). If you wish to enter pieces that you wish to
sell, you must enter individually, with TACtile charging a 40% commission on
any piece that sells. Entry fees are per person, not per piece, and are used to
defray the cost of lighting for the exhibit, and to support TACtile's mission
of inspiring growth, visibility, and creative excellence in textile arts.

Entries can be sent directly to TACtile, along with appropriate forms
(inventory sheet, artists agreement, entry fee, and provisions for returning
the lace to you), or to a member of RMLG who will hand deliver them on the
check-in day (again, please send forms). If you wish to do this, let me know,
and I will send contact info and shipping addresses. Also, if you intend to
enter, please email tactile or me with your contact info and details of what
you will enter (number, size, type of lace, etc.) by Dec. 31.

I'm hoping to coordinate with TACtile to create a web site with pictures from
the exhibit, so will let you know when I find out more about that.

Thanks!

Trudy Scholten
