Well, Clay, if you ever decide to sell that Toustou pillow give me a call. I
will give you what it is worth and not try to bargain you down. I would love
to have one. I even tried at one time to get a hold of him. (back in the
90's) I usually use the old fashioned English bolster. I want to get a nice
sized one that is stuffed with barley straw or sea grass. That is something
I will have to get from England. I had thought of getting a Christina but
Toustou's are so well made and beautiful.

Keep me on your list...

Thanks for that fresh perspective!!

When I first started knitting, (back in the dark ages...), everything
was written out. Granted, a short form had been adopted, so that K
stood for knit and P stood for purl... but it was always written out.

Then... drum roll... I discovered lace! And so for years, my knitting
(or what was left of it) sat idle in an out-of-the way place. When I
re-discovered it a few years ago, the earth had rotated many degrees,
and charts had come into play!!! I took to them like a duck to water!!!

Which is why now... I have a hard time plodding through the written out
instructions of old lacemaker's patterns like these. Thank goodness for
diagrams and charts!!!
I guess this just proves that I'm a newbie after all!
