Hi All,

My first lace pillow was a horseshoe one with two blocks for moving up.

The first one I made was 23 1/2" square, and I found it helpful to be a
quilter as well - I covered the foam with wool wadding before covering it. It
is two sided and I made two long blocks for the sides and blocks for the
middle to move up.

I followed Pat Milne's advice and made spares as well, for the original pillow
as well.

My friend's husband made a base with sides for the pillow and the reason for
all that effort was Eeva-Liisa's Crucifixion which I made for my Dad's 80th
birthday. He has moved in with one of my brothers and his family and the
framed picture hangs in my lounge room.

I have also made an edge for Church use from Marie-Claire Downton's book - it
is about 60" long but does not have a final resting place yet.

The project currently on that pillow in another of Eeva-Liisa's pictures, the
Guardian Angel,
