Wow, Alison!
And I thought my "splurges" back in the '90s when his bobbins were $8
each were extravagant!
It's good to know he has gotten past his health and personal issues, and
is back doing what he does so well. Thank you for sending this out!

In searching on the web for a great birthday gift for a dear friend, I found
that Malcolm Fielding is turning bobbins - in Tasmania! Here's his web
site, which he has asked that I share with you all.
http://www.thelacebobbinshop.com/ When I owned The Lacemaker, Malcolm's
work was (and is) the most highly prized. I purchased a leather satchel and
had thousands of special little white bobbin boxes made just to haul his
bobbins around to IOL and lace day events. Which of you have the Gone with
the Wind inscribed series? Or the inscribed " I Moved The Lacemaker" -
since the shop moved locations more than once!
I am long since retired but am glad to know that Malcolm's beautiful bobbins
are still available, and wanted to let you all know,
Best wishes,
