Interesting! The content, illustrations for the pillows and patterns
in this version of Therese de Dillmont's DMC Encyclopedia of
Needlework are the exact same ones as in Sara Rasmussen, "Kloppelbuch"
from 1884. http://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/webdocs/german.html.
When was the earliest English version of Therese de Dillmont's DMC
Encyclopedia of Needlework published? I can't find it on the Gutenberg
site. Mr. Lewis of the Torchon Lace Co. copied much of his material
from Sara Rasmussen's book (with some incorrect translations) for his
booklets and patterns in 1901-1904, especially "Practical Lace Making
Illustrated".
