Hi Debora, I agree with you completely! Machine translations are totally inadequate. This current discussion originated when I encouraged Melanie Winkler in Germany to contribute to the list in spite of her own perceived lacking (?) in English! My thinking is that the more we "English" are introduced to "foreign" terms in other languages, the more educated we will all be. I think "sprinkling" is a very effective way to share our languages, as long as the contributor is literate in the two languages, as Melanie is.
While we have a glossary, and many of us own a lovely universal dictionary of terms, I would love to see everyone on this list who has multi-lingual strengths to think about using their ability to communicate in numerous languages when addressing a question.
