I was informed in a recent workshop by the instructor that it is impossible to make a decent piece of lace unless all the bobbins are exactly the same. I would have failed miserably as a vendor had I held that attitude. I look at my bobbins and see forty years of wonderful, embarressing, delightful, and now somewhat terrifying moments.
