Actually, forget the turning it down, I just realised you're
logging to a file instead of syslog. I've asked bear to shut
it up for you though, while he's working on the mail problem,
so it should stop doing it any minute now...

Yep, I did it I'm afraid.

You must have your syslog configured to show INFO level messages,
which is quite a fierce setting - you might want to consider
turning it down a notch.

In the meantime, it should only really log something if it fails
to set the locale, which I'll sort out. The messages you pasted
show it succeeding, so nothing to worry about.

Hi, guys,

Laconica 0.61, logging to /tmp/laconica.log

I'm getting

2008-10-07 14:29:46 LOG_INFO: Language requested:en_US Locale
set:en_US.utf8
2008-10-07 14:29:47 LOG_INFO: Language requested:en_US Locale
set:en_US.utf8
2008-10-07 14:29:48 LOG_INFO: Language requested:en_US Locale
set:en_US.utf8

nearly every second. Started yesterday with the pull of .61

Any suggestions?

Leo
