Hi List, Maciej contacted me about a week ago, asking for help setting up a Laconica instance as a birthday present. Sadly, as I don't have my own instance running yet I referred Maciej to this mailing list.
I was contacted as Maciej wanted to integrate the smsToLaconica scripts into this install, which I've offered to help with once the instance is running. Maciej also mentioned that there was some interest in integrating the popular Polish IM service gadu-gadu instead of using Jabber. I said that there would probably be more chance of getting this sorted out on this list, but that the best bet would be to use a Jabber transport into Gadu-Gadu. Maciej, I hope this has described your requirements? If not, can you provide more detail? I think you also asked if anyone could advise a good web host for Laconica.
