Hello Laconica Dev,
I recently came across http://www.twitscoop.com/ and was totally
mesmerised by it. This got me thinking ... does Laconica have or has
plans for an analytics extension.. Has anyone done something on this?
The minimal kind of analysis, I am thinking is to be able to answer,
"What are the current trends?" I am aware of http://identi.ca/tags but
trends may not have hashtags and may need analysis of a configurable
amount of time or people may want to compare today's trends with
yesterday's.
I am looking for ideas on:
1. What other analytical things can be useful?
2. Laconica API recommendations on whether to opt for Native or
Twitter-like while trying to develop something like this. Why?
3. References to third-party software like Pentaho or Talend, etc.
that may be useful in aggregating and presenting such information.
