Dear all,

I got a silly question. I installed laconica on my server and registered two users "A" and "B". I try to make A subscribe B and got the message "You can use the local subscription". What does that mean?

It means that between the time that you showed B's profile page (for the "subscribe" button) and when you clicked the button, you logged in. Or at least the server thinks you did.

If you're not logged in, the profile page shows you a link to the "remote subscribe" page. But the remote subscribe page will show you that message when you're logged in -- you don't need to "remote" subscribe if you have a local account.

It's an unusual situation, and we should probably just redirect to the local subscription or something.
