All my efforts at getting XMPP/SMS features to work on my laconica install have proved unsuccessful, My install is on Bluehost and I have mailparse. if you live in London and are happy to show me one or two things about how how these work, I'd be happy to you meet you for a coffee anywhere convenient for you.
