Sure... but that ticket is for Twitter Search API... but I don't think Robin meant "for Twitter Search API" when he said "for that"... :) Anyway this is a lot different than Twitter Search API... Search API lets u get search results in JSON and cross-stuff formats, But the idea behind filters is to let normal human users create/share and subscribe to filters they created just like they subscribe to a user/group.
