Having just been into the Dreamhost panel, I see that a one-click Laconica install on Dreamhost was first suggested in July last year.
They have a voting system for new ideas, so if you're a Dreamhost customer, login to the Panel and under the Dreamhost Main Menu, click on Suggestions and search for Laconica. You'll see the suggestion and you can click the green thumbs up to add your vote. Spread the word!
