We need not to have database changes in point releases.

This change needs to be pulled out.

It fixes a bug. Without it notices with a long URL won't save, show javascript errors and log SQL errors.
Is there a way we can work around it without altering the database, and put the DB-changing fix into 0.9.x?

I think my iPhone ate my reply. Sorry if this is double post.

I could modify 0.8.x branch to store the untranslated URL (i.e. Save the is.gd or tinyurl) when URL is > 255 chars.

Should I also create a 08to09upgrade.sql on the 0.9.x branch? Want to get the change down before it's forgotten.
