add this to your statusnet section in the server conf.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*)
RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%1]
There also is a htaccess.sample in your installation directory. See the
chapter 'Fancy URLs' for more infos on this.
If it doesn't work, please add your exact error messages from the error
log here or visit the IRC channel #statusnet on irc.freenode.org for direct
help.
