I just started to build a openLDAP Server on the new Unbuntu 9.10 Server edition.
So far, after some headaches I got slapd somehow working. But LAM seems to have some problems: 1) I could not create missing Parts of the ldap tree after the first start, LAM just said: could not find ldap service. Adding new parts via Tree view also an other tool, in my case, LDAPadmin works fine. Browsing is ok 2) Creating any new entrees using „new user“ or „new group“ button just bring up an empty frame. 3) I am not able to browse schema files. Schema test says: You do not have the required access rights or the LDAP schema is not published by your server. Could be right as LDAPadmin doesn't work ether. But I do not have any clou how ti fix that. I am using php5 5.2.10, that is the version coming with ubuntu and LAM 2.8.0 installed from the deb package. Who ca give a hint on that stuff ?
