Hello,

I have setup LAM v3.2.0 on fedora 14
Created an administrator user with useradd
Used the virtual slap.conf "manager" user to create administrator in
tree view with uid, uidNumber, gidNumber, homeDirectory, sn,
loginShell and userPassword.
ObjectClass inetOrgPerson, top, posixAccount and shadowAccount

nsswitch.conf
passwrd: files ldap
shadow: files ldap
group: files ldap

Under authconfig-tui
ldap is checked under "User Information" and under "Authentication"
User shadow, Use LDAP and Local authorization are all checked.

Logged in as adminstrator and ran the lamdaemon test.
Results are Lamdaemon server path ok
Unit account ok
ssh connection ok
execute lamdaemon ok
lamdaemon: check nss ldap fail - User administrator is a local user
(/etc/password) but should be ldap only.

If administrator is removed by userdel -r, no entry in the passwd
file but the lamdaemon doesn't work because there is not unix account.

It appears that my procedure might be wrong somewhere.
Do you have any suggestions?

Regards,
Ian
