I'll try my best to do so. Mind you I'm not a proper PHP programmer
(just a humble sysadmin) so anything I do has to be checked and
re-checked. :)

I was just looking for 'some' reference to actual LDAP attribute. I
guess my 'solution' is not suitable for inclusion in LAM.

Your proposition makes sense and would be a better way, just not sure if
it's worth it - how many people would like that feature?
