there is no SASL support for LAM at the moment. It is planned for 4.5.

Samba (and Windows) do not support TLS. You can use ldaps:// for secure
connections.

Do you use root as login name for LAM? You should set
cn=Administrator,cn=users,dc=sfpi-test,dc=local as admin user in your
LAM server profile.
