Hi Roland,

The problem is that the groups people are assigned to do not get considered when they go to access certain folders with certain group permissions. I don't think this is a GUI issue.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

can you provide a screenshot of the user view where groups are missing?

Hi Roland,

In groups view/tab I see them in multiple groups. So eliane is in the groups teachers , finance and admin.

Unix groups is what im after as I want to allow access to files on a per group basis.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Daniel,

do you see the user as member of Admin in group view?
Please also note that the free version only manages Unix groups and not group of names.

Best regards

Roland

Hi, we are using LDAP Account Manager - 4.4

We have users in multiple groups. Some belong to Finance as their primary group and Admin as another group they belong to.

We use Freenas 9.2.1.7 which communicates with LDAP.

The problem is only the*primary group is being seen / used*. I am trying to determine why only on group is being used.

Can someone please help me diagnose where the problem is. It could be on Freenas or LAM.

Thanks for the help,

Dan
