I'm on my third Dremel tool. I have done about 1100 hours of hands-on
building time. I guess that means they last about 400 hours or so (not
run-time, but cumulative building time). I therefore consider a Dremel to be
an expendable tool. I also discovered that I rarely used anything but the
high speed setting on my first variable-speed unit, so I now buy the
single-speed ones. (I'm building a fiberglass airplane, not a carbon one.
So maybe I get more life out of them.)
