Hello! What language do choose users? A friend of mine once saind that one of the criterii is the presence of GUI creation tools. I went to the same thoughts. But the best GUI tools are present in Microsoft's Visual C++, FoxPro, VisualBasic... Those Tk and FOX do not provide enough services but are crossplatform and opensource. Tk and FOX do not utilize abilities of the platform they are running on. For Windows they are provided often in cygwin version which I not the best POSIX layer. Microsoft's compilers are weak and do not support anything but Windows. What about common GUI interface being able to utilize hardware accelerators and multiiprocessors? Why people do not develop,for example, Display PostScript?
